         Facts for the Prospective Client

  • During "Black Out" or Phase 1, that lasts at least 1 week, there is no contact with family and friends. During this first phase a client may only leave the premises with staff.

  • After this, there are subsequent phases that follow where there are visits, free time and passes that are earned.

  • As a client progresses through the phases they gain privileges.

  • Men do not enter Daystar expecting to continue a job that they have already started. The first three weeks, at least are spent in therapy, appointments, and getting established in the Daystar Program.

  • Jobs for second and third shift, and weekend jobs are not permitted since they interfere with therapy and the program at Daystar. All jobs must be worked around the Daystar schedule. Flexibility comes only as a reward to those in the latter part of the third or fourth phases that do not have a record of misconduct.

  • Spirituality vitality is important and each man must be working on a spiritual goal and attending a spiritual or religious place of worship weekly. This does not include AA or NA,which clients attend as part of our recovery program. The spiritual choice must be positive and in harmony with Daystar principals.

  • Residents may NOT have automobiles while at Daystar.

  • Drug use, violence, poor attitude, possession of contraband, and cell phones are not permitted.

  • Continued non-compliance with rules will result in dismissal from the program.

  • All residents share a bedroom with another client.

  • You are responsible for your own medical, and transportation bills. No romantic relationships may be initiated in or invested in while at Daystar. Men are to be focusing on their own inner healing, which in the end will enhance all relationships.
